Pergamon – Thyatira – Sardis – Philadelphia: After the breakfast early departure to Pergamon where you visit the Compromising Church (Revelation 2:12-17). After the visit we go with to the antic city of Pergamon. The Church of Pergamos struggled with two kinds of false teachers: the Nicolaitans and those who taught the "doctrine of Balaam". Fırst we visit Thyatira - the Corrupt Church Revelation (2:18-29). The church of Thyatira "tolerated a woman called Jezebel", a false prophetess that taught and seduced the Christians of Thyatira. In the abstract language of the Bible, the sin practiced here is the same heresy promoted in Israel by Queen Jezebel, as mentioned in the Books of Kings and the use of her name is a direct reference to it. We drive to Sardes. Sardes was the city with the big Artemis Temple. The Dead Church (Revelation 3:1-6). The church of Sardis had a reputation for actively doing God's work, but was spiritually dead. Its active community works were socially acceptable and highly praised, such as caring for the needy and the sick, but they were done mechanically and for self, to receive worldly honor and praise, and not for God. And the last stop is in Alaşehir, the old Philadelhia. The Faithful Church (Revelation 3:7-13). The church of Philadelphia had faithfully kept God's Commandments. Ephesus – House of Maria – St. John Church: Today we drive along the Meander on the West Coast of Anatolia. We begin our visit with the House of Maria. After them we goes to Ephesus. The biggest city at the Roman period on Anatolia. Its important from biblical perspective for the visit of Saint Paul at the city. The Loveless Church (Revelation 2:1-7). The Church of Ephesus was pastored by the apostle Paul for three years and was then left in the care of Timothy. False teachers arose among the members of the Church and created disputes within the Church. To help Timothy counter the false teachings and settle all disputes, Paul wrote a direct letter to the Ephesians strongly admonishing and encouraging them to live in a way worthy of God and reject false teachings.
